I have been doing a summer course with Borg Diem Groeneveld in Chateau, France, last week.
I am a student of Borg for 2 years now and this week i had the opportunity to sing in 3 Roman churches for the first time. It was a wonderful experience.
There were 16 persons singing and the overtones seemed to come from all places in the church.

[Also posted to the "art meets music" group.]
Greetings to all. I am very interested in collaborating with visual artists, especially video artists (but I am open to anything). In particular, I am currently looking for visual work to incorporate into a small concert I will giving in the States this fall (late September) to coincide with an independent CD-R release. So if you hear something of mine (as posted here or on my http://mysterybear.net) that inspires a visual response or…

Overtone meets india (o.m.i.)
The encounter of overtone singing with Indian classical music is a particular challenge. Indian musical instruments like Tanpura, Harmonium or Shrutibox are inspiring accompanying instruments for many overtone singers. While Indian classical…

MYSTERIES OF THROAT SINGING
An enormous collection of singing styles share common elements - opera, jazz, country, blues, rock n roll, gospel, pop, funk, rap, soul, et al. They sing songs, songs with words, words which emphasise whole notes, duration of singing breaths mostly under 10 seconds, and usually within a restricted zone of medium frequencies. Throat singing has none of these parameters.
The many styles of throat singing don't need songs or words - vocals are…

Hallo! "Ej, Mann, hej". "Was gugst Du?"

I have just returned with
overtonechoir Spektrum from our
first choir tour! We were in Sweden. I would like to thank to Göesta Peterssen and Midnights Choir for invitation and fantastically kind hosting of our choir members in homes of families of MidnightsChoir-members.
I felt like home - and most of us felt similarily, we were talking about it on our way home.
We had
9 concerts in total.
2 of them in Germany and
1 in Denmark - on our ways: there…
