a common space & database for harmonic overtones
About me: Harmonic Introductions is a vocal ensemble dedicated to the art of overtone singing. Founded in Spring 2012, we currently hold weekly sessions in Rockville, MD using a variety of vocal exercises to teach members the techniques of overtone singing. Through holding free and structured meditative improvisations, we create a playspace for people to practice and get to know their own voice more intimately.
We are available for private lessons, group workshops, performances, and other collaborations.
Our goal as an ensemble and organization is to build a community of enthusiasm and appreciation for overtone singing within the D.C. metro area, and to play a role in the continued growth of a global network!

About me: I am new to overtone singing and ll it entails.
Hopefully with resources like this, I will be able to make the most out of my practice.
About me: I use overtone singing to do group healing or attunements. I use in shamanic ceremonies with water. I also use it for one-on-one sound healing treatments.
About me: Choreographer and a teacher of voice & movement. Specialist with Laban's approach to movement research. I discovered overtone singing during my studies, and I enjoy it a lot.
About me: I've began practicing overtone singing in 2008,and as a manual therapist , I'm fascinated by the therapeutic possibilities of this music, and I hope to explore more of it.
About me: I don't do music professionally but it is more than just a hobby. I discovered how to do overtone singing mostly on my own, but have done a few workshops on it as well. For me, overtones are most powerful in a personal, meditative setting rather than in performance, though I do like to add them to some songs and pieces. Recently I've discovered the mountain dulcimer, a great instrument on its own and lends itself well to overtone singing!
About me: I love the mysterious, the unfathomable beauty of creation and this sweet evolutionary madness called human life.
As an artist and filmmaker I specialized on illustrating the invisible realms and inner journeys.
In 2010 I published my first film produciton "Space Sound Voice" a documentary about overtone singing. Music has been an essential part throughout my life and when I discovered overtone singing as a teenager I was fascinated right away.
The full documentary is now available on youtube:

About me: I am soundtheraphist, musician and psychologist. I love singing and especially overtone singing, :-) It is really some magic...
I constantly try to improve my own style of it..
Sometimes I really fill myself and everything in Universe as the vibration, I do not think like this, I just fill...
About me: overtone and improvisation musician, TaKeTiNa rhythm teacher, leader of Bonner Obertonchor "vox intra voces", duo "vole voce" with Claudiha-Gayatri Matussek, ensemble "frequenzen", ensemble "transfer".
I understand overtone singing as part of the art of expressing the vox humana in all different ways, as a comprehensive musical art that has it's roots not only in the asiatic room but also in our own music tradition as well as in contemporary music. Beyond that overtone singing is the connection from the personal expression to the trans-personal world and a way to inner silence.
I like to co-operate with classical musicians, theater performances, classical indian musicians etc. allways looking for new forms of musical expression.
