My students: too many to mention their names. Probably I learnt most of what I know from my students. Thank you all, and Namasté!
About me:
Singing with artists on records was a source of joy since I was a child. Then: the Beatles! I could not get enough of their music and their contemporaries´. When I got a guitar and founded my first band, I was in heaven. We copied the music of our models and composed music of our own.

After having finished high school, I studied Jazz and learnt how to play the piano and some other instruments. For a couple of years, I toured and recorded with various formations.

At age forty, I studied musicology, psychology and American Literature at the University of the Saarland. Being a bad sight-reader, I researched on the subject and wrote a dissertation on it.

In 2004, I met Chris Amrhein and Christian Bollmann, and the world of overtones revealed its wonders. It felt like being home - and it still does. Music, sound and rhythm seem to be a sign of what we really are. Especially overtone music is very strong in this respect, because it leads into silence.

Since then, I have been exploring the world of overtones, and I love to give concerts and courses. I also have been meeting lots of people who I feel in resonance with.

Thank you, universe! Let´s continue the celebration of life!

Ich wünsche dir viel Glück und Erfolg mit deinem Obertonechor. In Höör versuche ich jetzt eine Obertongruppe zu starten. Wir sind nur am Anfang. Wenige Leute haben sich gemeldet.

Alles Gute!

Hai dear Bernd !
thank you for the lesson!
I will go on practising and listening...
you know, I discovered when I sing overtones in a microphone, record it, and then listen back, they are very well hearable and really clear. I listen to it right after the recording, so I remember what I did with my mouth. And you are right, I should change tones much slower, even the slightest movement of my mouth does something to the tone, and I can not control it very well...yet!

Maybe something you are interested in : one of my songs ( Materia Lucida 2) is uploaded in a louder version now.....it really was much too soft. Maybe my next song will be with my own overtones...(recorded with the microphone that does it so well....)

Love and light to you!
Mylène

Hai Bernd!
I would love that! But first I have to practise a lot more...do you happen to have an advice on how to make my overtones sound louder? or is it just a matter of practising a lot...Your tones sound so clear , how long did it take you to sing so beautiful?
Love,
X Mylène
