Status Updates now alive

You see now a status box at the top of your Profile page. This is the place to share an exciting announcement or post a link to an upcoming concert, workshop or festival. It is not just a twitter clone - for this you can add the Twitter Tracker Application to your profile page. The status box feature can be one possibility to inform with 140 characters about your upcoming events. This feature empowers you to share your activities with other members on Overtone Music Network and engage with people around those activities. Along with appearing on Profile pages in the Status box, status updates will also display in the Highlights - Latest Activity RSS Feed on the Start Page and on your OMN Page where you posted the update. Please notice that the Highlights - Latest Activity RSS Feed is also connected with Plaxo, Friend Feed and Twitter. If you like to use it on your OMN Page but you do not like that your Status Update will appears other where please check out your own privacy setting - If you want hide this new feature from your OMN Page I will inform you how it will be possible to hide or remove this new feature. By the way Status Updates are a often used feature on facebook, MySpace and other where. So i hope you like to have it here too.

Is it possible to change the colors of the Status Update Box? Yes, it is.

If you are following this six screenshots you can switch the color to your own how do you like it and how it would be as the look of your own theme setting.

At First click on the link MY PAGE

... you will landing on your My Settings Page. In line 5 you find a link to Change your theme on the Appearance page. Do not change nothing else there than ...

... the Color Setting of Status - Color of the Box and the Text inside the Box. You can find these additional options by clicking on ALL OPTIONS

... and TEXT - so if you are using these Options to change the colors of the status textbox it must be looks perfect again in one unique design of your own theme setting. That's all - stay tuned
