Overtone Music Network

a common space & database for harmonic overtones

Hi there,

I found an instructional video about overtone singing which I believe could be really helpful. The owner of this video - David Stützel - writes about this video:

"that I can play an overblow with the velum fully open is wrong: I could not eaven play a normal blow note, because the air would not go through the harmonica but through the nose, because that would mean less resistance.... but as it is possible to play while "leaking" a little air through a not fully closed velum - fore example to waist air, if there are too many draw and too few blow notes, I can get at least 1 overblow sometimes better with a little "leakage" through the velum than without, that is what I actually meant to say ..."

Enjoy!

That's a really worthwhile way of breaking the elements down
