a common space for harmonic overtones
This traditional tuvan song was recorded by the tremendous band Alash Ensemble* on their first album, "Alash". Of course you can find many versions of this song from many artists, but this one is my favourite so I took inspiration from it to make this video (as I am far from their level I think we cannot talk about copying :D ).
The first step was the 6-holes flute, then the drum and first voice, and finally the fiddle and second voice. All these instruments are traditional ones, made by hand and most of the time used to perform XIIIth century music. As you can see I still need to improve..!
For the vocal part (1st voice/ 2nd voice): the first verse is sung with both natural voices, the second is (xorekteer**/normal), the third is (normal/kargyraa), the interlude is (kargyraa-sygyt/kargyraa), the fourth is (kargyraa/kargyraa), the last is (natural/natural). This last one is a free transcription in french.
*Please do visit the band website, very inspiring and full of great information about Tyva and tuvan throat singing:

**That was my first attempt.
(and sorry for the mistake in the title)
