Amberfern is a solo creative endeavour. I work surrounded by a growing range of diverse instruments in a secluded English forest studio: caisa drum, vibes, synths, double bass, guitars, and lots more.
The name Amberfern was inspired by the ferns that grow throughout the nearby forest woodlands, and in the autumn turn a golden amber color.
My aim is to continue to produce interesting, ambient new age music and seek to improve through each release.
I'd really enjoy getting to know others in this circle and becoming part of the community. Perhaps, as times goes on, there may be opportunities for collaborations and so on? I am sure that there is much that can be achieved by working together with a common aim of promoting, generating and championing new age overtone music in a world that is getting far too complex and hectic.
Amberfern is based in the heart of England's beautiful New Forest National Park. The studio is surrounded by moorland where ponies, donkeys and cattle roam free, and where early on quiet and magical mist-shrouded mornings, the elusive and secretive deer can sometimes be glimpsed through the trees.
As a band we are:
Clive
Instruments:
Many and varied including the wonderful Caisa drum, which is very similar to the hang.
Influences:
The Amberfern music genre is essentially new age ambient, downtempo electronica.
Amberfern love the Caisa drum. These are some photos of the instrument, which is made in Germany. Look out for uploads of Amberfern tracks featuring it!
