    hi steve,
thanks for your encouraging comment and for attending this network. i follow your impressing work for the overtone community since a couple of years. it's good to know people like you, wolfgang or jens who dedicate their time, knowledge and skills. so maybe overtone singing becomes an natural part of western culture.

    thank you;-)
I read this, my english is not perfect, but i think i understood.
most i knew before, this is not the problem.
if i try kargyraa, its painful for my throat.
so i decided to let it be, perhaps later, if someone can show me better.
some people explained it to me and showed, but it didn't work. I had some trys.
at the moment i am learning the "strohbass", the other deep-tone tecniqe, it is easier for me.
    many greetings from munic!
    Anna-Maria

    i like your music!
  • Anna-Maria Hefele

    thank you,
i will try to record the strohbass, it works only sometimes...
    many greetings,
    am

    hi steve,
thanks again for your friendly words. interesting, that it sounds classical to you.
didn't expect it. for me it's just slow. always good to get feedback.
    best, jan

i've been playing footprints in it's ususal speed range many years ago. and yes, first it means to touch an alien culture. at least i became very familiary with this piece. but having this slowness offers a varied perception not only of the melody and chords itself. to me, it tells me something about how music works in general, in terms of colours or qualities and it's contrast.
it's surprising and very nice to see, how different our view on music can be. funny, for you it sounds classic, i would say it's still jazz. and some classical musicians in the neighbourhood call it world music.
anyhow, let's see what will grow here out of those many seeds.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the welcome. I don't know Jerry--at least not yet! Is he on here?
  • Bernard Kleikamp

    Hi Steve,
the Gennadi Tumat project is still pending. I'm waiting for some materials from Mark, but he's busy and I'm busy, so there's not much progress. I guess eventually there'll be a DVD, but I don't know when.
    Best, Bernard
