Microtonal music and Software

Hello, I write microtonal music using Sibelius software. I wonder if anyone knows of a program that can play back multiple microtonal scales/chords easily and accurately? I've tried some H-Pi software and can't seem to get the hang of it and Patchwork is a mystery to me. Can anyone help?

I usually trick software to do unusual stuff, but I have little knowledge of microtonal music. Perhaps if you explain what you want to achieve I can help figure it out. Sounds like a nice challenge to me.

You can try also on www.kvraudio.com

You should find some virtual synthesizers, and they can be used (hosted) with variety of audio software like Cubase, Reaper and so on.

Not a bad idea. I use VSTi synthesizers too, a couple of them support microtonal scales and even harmonics editing. I suppose it would be possible to just set up a few different tracks with the same plugin and just set each track to a different scale set, then you could play multiple scales "accurately".

Hi Dan and Christopher,
I have finally succeeded with H-Pi's Custom Scale Editor and their new Microsynth software. I can map pure spectra to a midi keyboard or any other midi instrument. I have also learnt to play them on my guitar now - out of frustration - but this has turned out to be most satisfying. I'm now, at last, going to form my live spectral band. :-)
